Founded in Athens, Greece by Katerina Vassou herself, Vassou is guided by the belief that jewellery isn’t just an accessory to complete an outfit but should be an integral part of the overall look. However, this doesn’t mean the aim is ever to blend in – quite the opposite!

Not just the name, but the driving force behind the brand’s creative process, Katerina Vassou, like many artists, often chooses to become a servant to the means used in her creative output.
Just as a musician may be inspired by a new instrument or a painter experimenting with new paints or brushes, Vassou allows the materials she has at hand to take the lead.
Whether using silver, gold, semi-precious stones, or even rope and bone, the inherent character of each material is preserved in each piece.
